Cindy graduated in 2016 with a BS in Elementary Education from Florida International University. Her teaching philosophy is based on addressing and empowering marginalized students. She has over 7 years of experience working with students in a variety of settings. She has worked with several schools in Broward County Florida and St. Lucie County Florida as well as the Boys & Girls Club and PACE Center For Girls Inc. She is committed to fighting social justice in and out of the classroom and helping to eradicate the school-to-prison pipeline. 

Cindy is currently the Education Coordinator at Literacy Services of Indian River County. A non-profit that provides free tutoring to adults struggling with literacy or looking to gain English skills.
